FUNDRAISING & EXECUTIVE OFFICER

ArtHouse Jersey is seeking a Fundraising and Executive Officer, offering the right candidate a rare opportunity to work within a contemporary, creative environment amongst a dynamic and supportive team.

As an ambitious charity that is open to new ideas and ways of working, the postholder will have the opportunity to drive organisational change and will be responsible for our fundraising efforts within the corporate, individual, public and grant-giving arenas.

We are seeking an organised, self-motivated individual, who is comfortable working towards fundraising targets and knows (or can appreciate) how rewarding it can be to work hard to drive impact within the third sector.

THE ROLE

The Fundraising & Executive Officer is a newly created role within the charity’s small core team. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, but who recognises that the devil is often in the detail and that good systems lead to good results. Working closely with the Executive Producer and Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for two key areas of the business;

  1. Fundraising - to ensure that our charity is able to raise the income necessary to realise our ambitions and fully serve the public of Jersey and;

  2. Administrative executive support - around governance, financial management and business matters.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the charity’s fundraising efforts, working strategically with the ArtHouse Jersey team and external stakeholders to ensure income-generating efforts bring the maximum return on investment for partners and that fundraising targets are met. The role will see you focus on the development of corporate partnerships, the delivery of earned income events initiatives, supporting applications to grants and foundations and encouraging individual giving through donations. Your efforts will be supported by our in-house Communications Manager and a marketing strategy. Our charity currently raises approximately £350,000 per annum and we believe that this can be increased.

You will also occupy a key position in the administration of the charity, supporting the Directors’ office in the pursuit of the organisation’s charitable aims. You will work closely with the Executive Producer and Director to deliver a range of administrative support functions around governance, research & evaluation and financial planning & management.
