Flux was an exhibition by Jersey based image maker Danny Evans. It ran for one week in January at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House, FLUX and reimagined bespoke fashion works by local and international designers and artists. The visuals were created through photography, film and technology. Then dissected and continuously re-edited and manipulated to re-visualise each fashion creation in a new form. As a result, all the images have evolved in their own direction based on the designer's original work's textures, colours and shapes. These are presented through large-format prints, video and augmented reality.

The pieces featured were originally created for ArtHouse Jersey’s Walking Gallery (2021), a project which saw wearable art designs commissioned on the themes of sustainability, identity and accessibility.

Danny Evans said: “Fashion and photography have always been linked. However, technology changes what is possible daily. Designers and brands are now releasing one-off digital collections you can wear on social media through augmented reality. As a result, digital Fashion generates 97% fewer co2 emissions than the production of a physical garment. Flux is an attempt to further explore the concept of sustainability, which was the starting point of the walking gallery. As Fashion and image-making continue to inform and shape each other through the digital realm. Flux is a space to reflect and inspire how Fashion will be consumed and viewed in the digital age.”

Danny Evans has been a creative image maker for 25 years, working across photography, filmmaking and art direction. His work has grown from a skateboarding background where visual art, Fashion, music, and architecture are ingrained in the culture. Danny has worked on various projects, from global fashion campaigns to photographing musicians, celebrities and royalty. His work is seen in magazines and billboards worldwide. He works from his studio, DEP Studio, a creative end-to-end digital production studio specialising in high-end photography and video based in St Helier. Danny's unstoppable passion drives him to 'continuously learn and push what is possible by leveraging new technologies to produce out-of-the-box experiential content and the never-seen-before.

ArtHouse Jersey’s Head of Programme, James Tyson, said: "At the start of the new year, ArtHouse Jersey was keen to revisit an extraordinary project from 2021 that saw a group of Jersey and international designers create an exceptional collection of new wearable artworks focusing on sustainability presented as a walking gallery live performance. After originally documenting all the designs, over the past year Danny Evans has continued to work on distilling and expanding these photographic images across video, augmented reality and onto large scale print formats, which we are delighted to be able to share for this short-run exhibition at our Capital House gallery."
