Steve McVay – 2020

Steve hails from the North East of England where he gained a very respectable following with various bands over the years, being described by Sting’s brother as “an amazing front man”. In the early days his band Video was managed by the Animal’s guitarist Hilton Valentine but fame wasn’t to be!

Steve moved to Jersey with work in 2002, and around 2009 decided to get performing again and formed the Little Big Band. By 2011, they had won Battle of the Bands and played Gig in the Park and Jersey Live main stage. 

Now you can find him playing regularly at the Savoy Hotel doing a more chilled set with great musicians to make him sound good. He is also a strong supporter of the local music scene and encourages young budding musicians via the open mic he co-hosts at Princes Bar.
